If you live off Cox Road, you already know the trick. Arrington's summer is not spread across a town square or a shopping district. It is stacked on a single crossroads in the Historic Agricultural District, with the vineyard on the west side of the road and an organic farm on the east. Once you know which side owns which day, August plans itself.
The intersection that runs the week
Arrington Vineyards sits on a 95-acre property with five tasting rooms and 16 acres of vines, and it hosts live music on weekends April through November. Directly across the road, at 6361 Cox Road on the Delvin Farms property, the Arrington Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m., May through October. Those two addresses do the work of an entire downtown, and they hand off to each other on a schedule you can memorize in about ten seconds.
Here is what the week actually looks like once you strip away the noise.

Wednesday belongs to 6361 Cox Road
The Arrington Farmers Market is the one that residents undersell to out-of-town visitors, and it is the one worth defending. It is a boutique operation about thirteen miles east of the Factory at Franklin, with roughly 25 to 40 vendors depending on the week, and it runs rain or shine under a tobacco barn and open tents on the Delvin property. Dogs are welcome. Parking is free and on site.
August is the strongest month of the vendor rotation, because the summer produce is fully in and the specialty vendors have cycled through their monthly slots. What you will actually find on a Wednesday in August:
- Delvin Farms produce picked that day, plus peaches from The Peach Truck when the run is on
- Farm-raised pork, beef, bison, chicken, and eggs
- Goat cheese and goat-milk soaps from a Toggenburg and Oberhasli dairy in Cornersville
- Lion's Mane, oyster, and shiitake mushrooms grown indoors in Nashville
- Honey out of Unionville
- Fresh guacamole made on site, cold brew from a Dickson roaster, artisan jam from a Murfreesboro father-daughter operation
- Sarah's Flowers bouquets grown in College Grove, and lavender bunches when the season allows
If you have been treating the market as a "sometimes" errand, it is worth flipping it into the anchor of the week. Delvin Farms also runs the Farm Store on Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon at the same address, which is the pickup window most residents forget until October.
Fridays start at 4:30, across the road
Food Truck Friday runs May through October on the vineyard lawn, with the trucks open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and free live music from 5:30 to 8:30. Simply Living Life stays on site all weekend with charcuterie boards and flatbreads if the truck lineup is not what you were hoping for. No reservations. No tickets. Just come, as the operators put it.
Only Arrington Vineyards wines are allowed on the property. No other alcoholic beverages are permitted.
That last point catches new residents off guard more than it should. The vineyard is not a park you can carry a cooler into. Pack a picnic dinner, plan on their wine, and you are fine. The August 28 Food Truck Friday, for example, pairs Rice to Meet You and Little Cancun Cantina with Samantha Cary on acoustic guitar. That is the shape of a normal week, not a special event.
Saturday afternoon is a two-stage decision
Music in the Vines splits across two spots on the property: Jazz on the Hillside and Bluegrass at the Barn, both from 3 to 7 on Saturdays and 2 to 6 on Sundays. You do not have to choose. The two stages are close enough that you can drift between them across an afternoon. What matters is knowing the rotation, because the same three or four acts anchor most of August.
The Lilliston Effect and Grasstime are on the calendar Saturday, August 8, and again Sunday, August 16, and again Saturday, August 29. San Rafael Band and The Mighty Rischecraft hold Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 23. Josh Karas Trio and Downriver Collective take Sunday, August 9. If you go twice in a month, you will hear one act twice, which is the point. This is a house-band economy, not a touring calendar.
Wine Club members get a parallel calendar inside the Club House at 2 p.m. on the same afternoons, with acoustic songwriter sets from Samantha Cary, Brennan Michael White, Reed Pittman, Johnson Jay, and Bronwen Fair in various combinations. If you have been on the fence about the club, the August lineup is a decent argument for it.
The Sunday that overrides the Sunday
Every Sunday afternoon runs 2 to 6 at the vineyard. The one exception in August is the songwriter block on Thursday, August 20, and again on August 27, which shifts the acoustic act off the weekend rotation and into a 4:30 to 7:30 slot on the Hillside. If your Sunday afternoons are already claimed, that Thursday window is the workaround.
The 6:00 p.m. Wine Wednesday trivia night on August 12, 19, and 26 is the other underused slot. It is 6 to 7:45 with wine specials and outdoor seating, and it sits neatly on top of a farmers market run across the road at 3:30. That is the tightest Wednesday you can build in this zip code.
The edges of the map
Two more addresses matter, but not on a weekly schedule.
Kings Chapel, at 4980 Meadowbrook Blvd, sits on roughly 600 acres and hosts the occasional living history and community event through the summer, including the annual Battle of Triune reenactment cycle. Hatcher Family Dairy, over in College Grove, is the other working farm that residents point out-of-town guests toward when the vineyard is too crowded. And Castle Gwynn, the private Welsh-style residence on State Route 840 that hosts the Tennessee Renaissance Festival each May, is closed to the public for the summer. If you moved in during June and were told to check it out, you are waiting until next May.
The Renaissance Festival itself was a five-weekend run in 2026, its 40th anniversary season, wrapping on May 31. It is worth putting on next year's calendar now, because tickets are meaningfully cheaper online than at the gate and Sunday and Memorial Day tickets are cheaper than Saturday tickets.
Putting August on one page
The mental map is small enough to hold in your head. Wednesday afternoon at Delvin Farms, then across the road to the vineyard for trivia. Thursday for songwriters. Friday for food trucks. Saturday morning at the Farm Store, Saturday afternoon at the Hillside or the Barn. Sunday the same, one hour earlier. Repeat four times, and it is Labor Day.
The reason this matters is that Arrington does not read like a place with a downtown, and residents who moved in from Franklin or Brentwood sometimes miss the fact that the town runs on farm hours instead of retail hours. Once you flip your week around a Wednesday afternoon and a Saturday morning, the rest of the summer stops feeling like a drive to somewhere else.
